Saginaw Valley State University's baseball program's, Hayden Jatczak, was named GLIAC Pitcher of the Week. The senior two-way player threw a no-hitter on Monday in a 7-inning victory against Findlay. The Bay City, Michigan native went all seven innings striking out seven and allowed one walk and hit one batter, both in the last inning. It was the first no-hitter thrown in Cardinal history since 1992. SVSU won game one 5-0 and in game two of the doubleheader, Jatczak was a double away from hitting for the cycle. SVSU swept the doubleheader and won two of three over the weekend against Cedarville to start their season 5-2.
