Reed Raymond had a big week as a two-way player for Saginaw Valley State University baseball both at the plate and on the mound. Raymond had two appearances coming into the game with one-run leads and earning the save in both. First the 5-4 win against Northwood at the third annual Dow Diamond Classic and the second being a 6-5 win against Purdue Northwest. He threw two innings, allowing two hits and one walk and struck out three along the way. Raymond and the Cardinals have five games remaining in the regular season as they host Wayne State University for a mid-week game before heading to Grand Valley State University for a four-game weekend.
