Money earns GLIAC Player of the Week honor

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. -- The Saginaw Valley State University baseball team opened their season this past weekend with a four-game series at the University of Illinois-Springfield.

SVSU was led by Martin Money. The junior went 7-of-12 at the plate for a .583 batting average. He drove in eight runs and recorded a stolen base while walking three times. 

For his efforts, Money has been named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week. 

SVSU will face Cleary University at 3 pm Tuesday in Howell, Mich.
