SVSU Cardinal Senior Spotlight - Brianna Bishop

Saginaw Valley State University Athletics will be releasing a series of student-athlete spotlights, which will feature some of our Cardinal senior student-athletes from the 2019-20 academic year. Stay tuned to www.svsucardinals.com to get to know our SVSU seniors a bit more.

Next up in our series is Women's Soccer student-athlete Brianna Bishop. Brianna is a native of DeWitt, Michigan and has been a member of the program for the past four seasons. She has played in 50 matches, starting 46 of them as a defender for the Cardinals. Bishop has helped lead SVSU to one NCAA Division II Tournament appearance (2018) and a pair of GLIAC Tournament Championship Match appearances in 2017 and 2019.

Brianna's favorite memory while competing for Saginaw Valley State University was her junior year when the Cardinals made the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Her favorite road trip was when the team took a preseason trip to Canada in 2019.

Bishop's favorite spot on campus is the fourth floor of the library. She is an exercise science major who is set to graduate in May 2020. After graduation, Brianna is set to do an internship with Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit for cardiac rehab and stress tests. Once she has completed the recommended hours, she will take the ACSM exam to become a clinical exercise physiologist.
