SVSU Athletics Accepting Nominations for Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2019

UNIVERSITY CENTER - The Saginaw Valley State University Athletic Hall of Fame selection committee is soliciting nominations for the 2019 induction class, which will be honored the weekend of October 5 during the upcoming football season.

All nominations are forwarded to the Hall of Fame selection committee for discussion and consideration.

Induction into the SVSU Athletic Hall of Fame is based on the following criteria:

Athlete candidates must be a graduate (in good standing) of Saginaw Valley State University or Saginaw Valley State College and will be eligible for nomination after a minimum of five (5) years following the end of the nominee's athletic career. The candidate must have earned a minimum of two (2) letters in at least one (1) sport or one (1) letter in two (2) sports of participation at Saginaw Valley State University.

Coaches or athletic administrator candidates must have served the University a minimum of one (1) year. The candidate may be selected one (1) year after leaving the University (in good standing).

Candidates of special mention must have served a sport(s) program or athletic department in an exceptional manner and need not be a graduate (alumni) of Saginaw Valley State University. The candidate, if an employee, may be selected one (1) year after leaving the institution (in good standing).

Team candidates must have won a conference or national championship. The team would be eligible five (5) years following the Championship year(s).

Nominations must be submitted by July 15, 2019 to be considered for the Class of 2019 that will be formally inducted at the annual Cardinal Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet.
