Flippin returns to the Cardinal coaching staff for the 2019-20 season.  Coach Flippin has been a private setting and ball control coach for the past seven years, helping players from around Mid-Michigan become better volleyball players.

Flippin began his coaching career as a varsity assistant at Essexville-Garber High School in 1993, where he coached in the program until 2001 and then again in 2005 before accepting a position at SVSU for the 2006 and 2007 seasons.  While at Garber, he coached the most successful squad in school history, which went 45-14-4.  Coach Flippin was also an assistant for one season at Delta College under former Pioneer Head Coach and current CMU Assistant Coach Theresa Beeckman.
