Makenzie Frodle Earns Academic All-American Honors

AUSTIN, Texas - Saginaw Valley State University senior volleyball student-athlete Makenzie Frodle was selected to the 2014 CapitalOne Academic All-America Volleyball Second Team for her performance both on the court and in the classroom.

Frodle, who was recently named to the Academic All-District First Team, making her eligible for All-America status, had a sensational season to finish her career in a Cardinal uniform.

She posted a GLIAC-leading .330 hitting percentage, registering 258 kills on the season, an average of 2.77 per-set.  Frodle added a team-leading 80 blocks, an average of 0.86 per set.  Those 80 blocks ranked her ninth in the league.  Her cumulative GPA throughout her career as a student-athlete has stayed at a 4.00 as an English major at SVSU.

Frodle was selected to the All-GLIAC First Team, Daktronics, Inc. All-Midwest Region Second Team and AVCA All-Midwest Region Honorable Mention Team for the 2014 season as well.
