UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University volleyball team has been busy preparing for their upcoming spring season consisting of four tournaments, starting March 23.

In these tournaments, the Lady Cardinals will battle both Division I and Division II opponents in a format designed to keep the action moving, while not always following standard match procedure.

Saginaw Valley will use this time of year to work on conditioning, building teamwork and fine-tuning their offensive and defensive schemes. Last season, SVSU finished with an 11-19 overall record and will return 11 letterwinners along with some talented freshmen in an attempt to make a splash in the 2013 conference schedule.
