Women's Tennis Announces the Signing of Nicole Johnson

UNIVERSITY CENTER -- Saginaw Valley State University Women's Tennis head coach Jenn Boehm has announced the addition of Nicole Johnson (Holly, Mich. / Holly HS) to the program. Nicole will be joining the Cardinals for the 2018-19 season.

Johnson comes to SVSU from Holly High School after earning three all-conference honors, including two first-team nods. She was named All-State Honorable Mention her junior season as well. She has earned Scholar Athlete honors the past two seasons for the Bronchos and is a member of the National Honor Society. The Bronchos placed fifth in the state in 2017 and were sixth in the 2016 season. Johnson advanced to the semifinal round in the 2017 campaign at the No. 2 singles spot.

"We are so excited to welcome Nicole into our Cardinal Tennis family," said Boehm. "She comes from a successful high school program at Holly and regularly play the top teams from around the state. That high level competition will certainly help her prepare as she transitions to college tennis. We look forward to helping her grow as a student-athlete here at SVSU."
