Women's Tennis welcomes Nikita Hill to the program

UNIVERSITY CENTER -- Saginaw Valley State University Women's Tennis head coach Jenn Boehm has announced the addition of Nikita Hill (Perth, Western Australia) to the program. Hill joins the Cardinals for the upcoming spring season.

"Nikita has had an interesting path to get to SVSU," said Boehm. She also picked up the game later than many of her peers, but has shown that in a short amount of time she truly made incredible improvement. She has two years of college tennis under her belt, but also has the determination and work ethic to take her game to a new level. It's clear she will make an impact both on and off the court and we are excited to have her join our Cardinal tennis family."

Hill is a transfer from North Central Texas College, where she helped lead the Lions to a 13th place finish at the 2017 NJCAA National Tournament. She was named the Australian Vocational Student of 2014 by the Australian Government and was awarded DUX for certificate II and II in Sport and Recreation in 2014 as well, which goes to the highest ranking student in Sport and Recreation - Tennis.

The Cardinals, currently ranked No. 8 in the most recent Midwest Regional Rankings, open their spring season with a trip to Pennsylvania to face Mercyhurst and Slippery Rock on Feb. 16 and Feb. 17, respectively.
