GLIAC — SVSU junior midfielder Valentina Giambanco earned her second GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades after posting two goals and an assist in this weekends GLIAC contests against Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan. Giambanco currently is tied for third will nine total goals and is leading the SVSU team. She is second on the team in assists behind teammate Molly Vanderhoff, as well.
Giambanco previously won GLIAC accolades in week four of play where she earned her first ever hat trick with three goals in the team's 5-0 win over the Pride on Friday before dishing-out a solo goal and an assist in Sunday's 4-2 win against the Parkside Rangers.
The Cardinals will head on the road to conclude the 2018 regular season with a trip to Ashland on Friday (Oct. 25) at 4 p.m. The game will begin after the conclusion of the men's game which is set to begin at 1:30 p.m.
