BAY CITY, Mich. – SVSU Women's Soccer sophomore forward Whitney Fleming has been selected as the GLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week following a pair of regional victories.
Fleming notched in a pair of goals in the home opening weekend match ups for the Cardinals. Fleming's first goal of the season came during the home opener victory over Ohio Dominican, 2-1. On Sunday versus Findlay, she showcased yet another strong shot on goal, leading the team to a 2-1 victory over the Oilers. Fleming notched in eight shots with five on goal during the home opening weekend for the Cardinals.
The Cardinals will be on the road this weekend for a non-conference matchup between Northern Michigan on Friday (Sept. 15) at 1 p.m. and Michigan Tech on Saturday (Sept. 17) at noon.
