Saginaw Valley State University senior defender Bria Spraggins has been selected to the NSCAA All-Midwest Region Third Team after her performance for the 2016 season anchoring the back end of the SVSU defense. 

Spraggins earned her first career all-region nod after collecting Second Team All-GLIAC plaudits for the 2016 campaign as well. She started in all 18 matches for SVSU this season, where she recorded three shots on goal. She finishes her career at SVSU with 3 points (one goal, one assist) and 11 shots on goal while appearing in 57 games on the back line for the Cardinals.

The Lady Cardinals finished 2016 with a 10-7-1 record overall and just narrowly missed out on qualifying for the GLIAC Tournament. They will return a heavy dose of talent and depth for the 2017-18 season.
