KANSAS CITY - The Saginaw Valley State University women's soccer team was named as a recipient of a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the 2014-15 season.
The Lady Cardinals posted a 3.25 GPA during the season and were listed among seven GLIAC schools to earn the distinction.
The NSCAA annually recognizes college and high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the field. A total of 868 soccer teams (307 men, 559 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA College Team Academic Award for the 2014-15 academic year.
