Saginaw Valley comes into the contest with a 9-2-3 overall record and 7-2-2 mark in the GLIAC. The Cardinals have already clinched the four seed in the GLIAC women's soccer tournament and will host a quarterfinal game at Braddock Field on Tuesday, November 4th. SVSU is coming off a 2-0 loss to Michigan Tech on Thursday (10/30) and is looking to head into postseason play with a victory over the Wildcats.
Northern Michigan has clinched their spot in the GLIAC Tournament as well and carry a 7-8-1 overall record and 5-6-0 mark in the GLIAC into the game. The Wildcats lost to Northwood on Thursday (10/30) by a final score of 3-2. NMU defeated SVSU last year in Marquette by a score of 4-1.
Senior Day:
Prior to the game on Saturday, the SVSU women's soccer team will be honoring six members of the team as they will be playing in their last regular season home game at Braddock Field. The six members are Kelsie Friend, Holly Laser, Lindsey Arnett, Shelby Thompson, Olivia Perrin, and Annie Aubrey.
