- The SVSU women's soccer team returns home after a trip down to Ohio which saw the Cardinals defeat Tiffin and tie Ohio Dominican. The Cardinals are currently ranked 18th in the nation and have an unbeaten record of 5-0-2 this season. The defense has recorded five shutouts in the first seven games. Ashland comes into the contest with a 1-2-0 record in GLIAC play this year and Lake Erie is currently 1-1 in the GLIAC. Saginaw Valley lost to Ashland last year by a score of 4-2 and lost to Lake Erie, 2-1 during the 2013 season.
