BAY CITY - SVSU sophomore goalkeeper Claire Spleth has been selected as the GLIAC Women's Soccer Week 3 Defensive "Player of the Week."  

Spleth recorded eight saves in the team's 3-1 win over Malone on Friday before posting a shutout of Northwood on Sunday by a score of 2-0.

Her record stands at 4-0-1 in 2014 and she has three shutouts in the five matches played.  Saginaw Valley hits the road this weekend for matches at Tiffin on Friday (9/26) at 10:00 am before playing at Ohio Dominican on Sundy at noon.
