UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State
University’s women’s soccer team fell to the Bulldogs
of Ferris State University today (Oct. 24) by a score of 3-2.
Ferris State started the afternoon’s scoring when Tammy
Unsworth scored a goal just fifteen seconds before the half.
Saginaw Valley’s Kim Oberski (Port Huron, Mich.) responded
with a goal on a beautiful assist by Stephanie Roy (Royal Oak,
Mich. / Dondero HS). Later in the game, Roy would find the back of
the net on a penalty kick to knot the score 2-2. Ferris State would
add a goal late to seal the victory.
SVSU falls to 6-7 overall, 6-5 in the GLIAC, while Ferris State
moves to 7-7-1 overall, 6-5-1 in the GLIAC. The Cardinals will
return to action on Sunday (Oct. 26) when they host top ranked
Grand Valley State at the SVSU Soccer Complex at noon.
