TIFFIN, Ohio. – The Saginaw Valley State
University women’s soccer team shut out Tiffin University on
Friday (Oct. 10) 1-0.
The contests’ lone goal was scored by senior Kim Oberski
(Port Huron, Mich./ Port Huron HS) at the 51 minute mark after she
accepted a pass from senior Stephanie Roy (Royal Oak, Mich./Dondero
HS) and buried the ball in the back of the net.
In the game, the Cardinals were able to get off three shots on
goal, while Tiffin kept freshman goalkeeper Anne Bershbach by
registering six shots.
The win moves the Cardinals to 5-4 overall, and 5-2 in the GLIAC.
