MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University women’s soccer team lost to Northern Michigan University Friday night 1-0.

In the loss, the Cardinals were able to get off eight shots, four coming off the foot of senior Stephanie Roy (Royal Oak, Mich./Dondero HS).

Freshman goalkeeper Anne Bershbach (Algonac, Mich./Lutheran North HS) stopped six shots in the loss.

SVSU will return to action Sunday (Oct. 19) when the Cardinals return home to face Ashland University. Kickoff is scheduled for noon.
