Cardinals Shut Out by Grand Valley

ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University women’s soccer team lost 1-0 to Grand Valley State University on Sunday (Oct. 5).

In a match that was dominated by the Lakers, the Cardinals’ freshman goalkeeper Anne Bershbach (Algonac, Mich./Lutheran North HS) was able to stop eight shots. Saginaw Valley was only able to get off four shots in the 90 minute contest.

The loss drops the Cardinals to 4-4 overall, and 4-2 in the GLIAC. SVSU will next appear at 2 p.m. Friday (Oct. 10) in Tiffin, Ohio when they take on the Dragons of Tiffin University.
