UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley
State University senior Kim Oberski (Port Huron, Mich.) was named
GLIAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for her play on the
field from September 15 -21.
Oberski notched two goals and two assists in Sunday’s (Sept.
21) match against GLIAC foe Findlay in a second half that saw the
Cardinals score four times in less than 20 minutes, as the
Cardinals went on to route the visiting Oilers 4-0.
With less than 20 minutes to play, Oberski notched her first goal
of the game, giving the Cardinals a 3-0 lead. Three minutes later,
Oberski finished the scoring at the 83:42 mark giving the Cardinals
an overall record of 2-2, and keeping them undefeated in the GLIAC
(2-0). Oberski also had two assists in the game.
In SVSU’s 1-0 victory against Tiffin University on Friday
(Sept. 19), Oberski was instrumental in keeping the Cardinals on
offense during the second half as the Cardinals went on to outshoot
the visiting Dragons 17-12 overall.
