Cardinals advance to GLIAC semifinals, fall to Lakers

AUGUSTA, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf team fell to Grand Valley State University in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match play semifinals on Saturday from the Stonehedge Golf Club in Augusta, Mich. 

The Cardinals advanced to the semifinals after finishing fourth in stroke play with a team score of 636. Amanda Ehrlich led SVSU in a tie for seventh place individually with a score of 150 after 36 holes. Brook Herbstreit finished tied for 18th with a 157, while Emily O'Brien was 22nd overall with a 158. Megan Kozlowski completed the scoring for SVSU in a tie for 24th place with a score of 161. 

Andie Martin was 29th with a score of 164. 

In the semifinals, the top-seeded Lakers took all five matches from the Cardinals and advanced to Sunday's GLIAC match play final against Northwood University.
