CANTON, Ohio -- The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf team placed ninth in the team standings with a score of 648 at the Walsh University Cavalier Classic from the Glenmoor Country Club in Canton, Ohio.
Winning the event was the University of Findlay with a team score of 606 after 36 holes.
The Cardinals were led by Megan Kozlowski in a tie for 20th place individually with a score of 156. Right behind her was Amanda Ehrlich in a tie for 23rd with a 157. Brook Herbstreit finished tied for 32nd place with a score of 161, while Andie Martin completed the scoring for SVSU in a tie for 69th with a 176.
Megan Thiravong also competed for the Cardinals and finished in 68th place with a 175, while Emily O'Brien was 80th with a two-round score of 181.
Up next for SVSU is the GLIAC Championships beginning on Friday, Apr. 22 from the Stonehedge Golf Club in Augusta, Mich.
