SVSU sixth after day one of Spring Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf team opened day one of the SVSU Spring Invitational on Saturday from the Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Lexington, Kentucky. The Cardinals are currently sixth in the team standings after day one with a round one score of 334. 

Amanda Ehrlich led SVSU in the first round, shooting a 78. The sophomore is currently in eighth place in the individual standings. Behind her was Emily O'Brien in a tie for 12th place with a score of 80. Andie Martin finished round one in a tie for 36th with an 86. Brook Herbstreit completed the scoring for the Cardinals with an 87. She is currently in 46th place. 

Also competing was Megan Kozlowski with a score of 89, and Megan Thiravong, who posted a first round score of 94. 

Day two of the SVSU Spring Invite is set to begin at 9 am Sunday morning from the Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Lexington.
