Cardinals finish eighth at Panther Invitational

AUGUSTA, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf team finished in eighth place at the Davenport University Panther Invitational at the Stonehedge Golf Club. The Cardinals finished with a two-day team score of 649, posting a 327 on day one and closing strong with a 322 on day two. Grand Valley State University won the event with a team score of 598.

SVSU was led by Amanda Ehrlich in a tie for 24th place. The sophomore finished with a 160 over two rounds and it was the second straight tournament the Grand Rapids native led the Cardinals. Megan Thiravong and Brook Herbstreit tied for 36th place with a score of 163. Emily O'Brien finished tied for 40th with a 164 and completed the scoring for SVSU. 

Andie Martin and Megan Kozlowski also competed for SVSU. Martin joined Ehrlich in a tie for 24th with a 160, while Kozlowski finished tied for 55th place with a 172. 

SVSU has concluded its fall season and will return in spring 2022.
