Cardinals tie for second at Tiffin Fall Invite

TIFFIN, Ohio - The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf team tied for second in the team standings at the Tiffin University Fall Invite at the Mohawk Golf & Country Club. The Cardinals finished with a team score of 658, shooting 325 on Monday afternoon in round one and 333 in round two on Tuesday afternoon. The host Dragons won the event with a score of 640 while SVSU finished tied with Malone University. 

SVSU was led by Amanda Ehrlich in seventh place. The Grand Rapids, Mich., native shot 79 on day one and 83 on day two for an overall score of 162. Right behind her was Emily O'Brien in a tie for eighth place with a 163. Megan Thiravong finished tied for 10th with a score of 164, and Brook Herbstreit completed the scoring in a tie for 18th place with a 169. 

Also competing for SVSU was Andie Martin in a tie for 21st with a 170, and Megan Kozlowski in a tie for 26th with a 174. 

The Cardinals will be at the Davenport Panther Invitational starting next Saturday in Augusta, Mich. at the Gull Lake Golf Club.
