Cardinal women fourth after 18 holes at GLIAC Championship

AUGUSTA, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf team opened play at the 2021 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship Friday at Gull Lake in Augusta, Mich.

The Cardinals finished the first round of the tournament in fourth place with a total score of 309. Grand Valley State University is first with a score of 291.

SVSU was led by an outstanding round from Amanda Ehrlich, who shot a one-over 73 in her first 18 holes to tie for third place. Sabrina Coffman is tied for 15th with an opening-round 77, while Olivia Pumford is tied for 19th with a 78.

Day two of the GLIAC Championship is set for Saturday at Gull Lake.
