LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf team improved in each of its three rounds at the Findlay Spring Invite Tuesday at the Big Blue in Lexington, Ky.
The Cardinals opened with a first-round score of 337, sitting 17th place after 18 holes. The Cardinals improved by 14 strokes (323) in round two and by another 16 (307) in the third round for a total score of 967 to move up to a tie for 12th place.
Grand Valley State University won the event with a total score of 884.
Sabrina Coffman led the Cardinals with a 10th-place finish individually, shooting a three-round score of 227 (78, 74, 75).
