Coffman wins, Cardinals finished fourth at SVSU Invite

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf team completed play at the 2021 season-opening SVSU Spring Invite Sunday at the Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown, Ky.

Sabrina Coffman fired a 3-under par 69 in the final round to run away with the individual title for the Cardinals, leading the field by six strokes. She totaled 144 in the two rounds for SVSU.

The Cardinals finished alone in fourth place with a team score of 631, just two strokes back from the two teams tied for second place. Tiffin University won the team title with a 617.

SVSU will stay in the Bluegrass State for a two-round event hosted by the University of Findlay. The Findlay Spring Invite will be held Monday and Tuesday at the Big Blue in Lexington, Ky.
