PITTSBURG, Kan. -- The Saginaw Valley State University track and field teams concluded the NCAA Division II Championships on Saturday night at the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg, Kan. on the campus of Pittsburg State University.

The SVSU women finished tied for seventh in the team standings with 27 team points. The men tied for 33rd with six points. Grand Valley State University won the men's team title with 66 points, while the women's championship went to Minnesota State University with 58 points. 

Women's Highlights:

• Cheyenne Williamson set a new NCAA DII record in the pentathlon with 4292 points, becoming the first woman in DII history to finish with a score over 4200 points, and winning her second straight national title in the event. She also earned All-American honors in the 60-meter hurdles after finishing fourth in 8.46 seconds.
• Alona Olshevska earned All-American honors by placing fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.44 seconds, and seventh in the 200-meter dash in 24.49.
• The 4x400-meter relay team of Olshevska, Williamson, Alexa Cross, and Jenna Picard placed 13th with a time of 3:48.41.

Men's Highlights:

• In the 3000-meter run, CarLee Stimpfel ran to his second All-American honor after placing eighth in 8:01.91.
