Nine Cardinals Qualify for NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships

INDIANAPOLIS -- After a stellar indoor track & field season to date, the Saginaw Valley State University Track & Field programs will send nine student-athletes to compete in the 2020 NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships. This year's championships will take place Mar. 13-14 in Birmingham, Alabama at the Birmingham Crossplex.

Six student-athletes have qualified from the women's team while three men will make the trip to Alabama. Below are your Cardinal qualifiers...

Women

Ali Aldrich

  • Weight Throw - 18.77 meters | Ranked #13 nationally

Morgan Fuerst

  • 800 Meters - 2:13.29 | Ranked #24 nationally
  • 4 x 400 Meter Relay

Lauren Huebner

  • Pentathlon - 3,690 pts | Ranked #9 nationally
  • 4 x 400 Meter Relay

Timyah Meeks

  • Weight Throw - 19.02 meters | Ranked #7 nationally

Alona Olshevska

  • 4 x 400 Meter Relay

Cheyenne Williamson

  • 60 Meter Hurdles - 8.64 | Ranked #14 nationally
  • High Jump - 1.76 meters | Ranked #2 nationally
  • Long Jump - 5.98 meters | Ranked #8 nationally
  • 4 x 400 Meter Relay
