GLIAC -- SVSU junior track & field student-athlete Noah VanderVeen has been named the GLIAC Male Field Athlete of the Week following his performance at the Auto Owners Insurance Spartan Invitational. 

VanderVeen placed first at the Auto Owners Insurance Spartan Invitational in the high jump over the weekend. The junior indoor all-american claimed first place in the event, clearing the bar with a height of 2.10 meters. That mark is currently tops in the GLIAC and is tied for sixth-best in the nation. VanderVeen added a fourth place showing in the triple jump as well with a distance of 13.37 meters for a new personal best.
