Track & Field Competes at IWU Polar Bear Invitational

MARION, Ind - The SVSU track & field men's track and field team had several student-athletes compete in the IWU Polar Bear Invitational, hosted by NAIA member Indiana Wesleyan University.

Results

  • Sam Black took first in the javelin, notching a distance of 49.14 meters.
  • Teammate Joe Thwing was second in the same event, posting a mark of 48.00 meters.
  • Ben Morrow took third place in both the shot put and discus, notching marks of 15.41 meters and 49.20 meters, respectively. Both are new personal bests for Morrow.
  • Ryan Kelly was fourth in the shot put with a distance of 15.29 meters and fifth in the discus with a mark of 45.40 meters.

Up Next...

The Cardinal track and field teams will travel to the Bellarmine Invitational, which is set to take place Friday (Mar. 31) for the first of the two-day meet. Bellarmine University is set to host in Louisville, Kentucky.
