Dr. Dan Kehres joined the SVSU Sports Medicine staff as the team chiropractor during the 2015-16 season. Kehres is the owner of Kehres Health & Chiropractic. He specializes in nutrition, stress management and fitness. 

Dr. Kehres learned the value in taking care of his body from a young age. After a football injury in high school, Dr. Kehres was told he would never play again, or be able to walk without a limp. He learned there was a lot more to healing the body beyond surgery. With strenuous rehab, Dr. Kehres went on to play football again at Alma College and graduated with biology and chemistry degrees. 

Knowing the importance of treating the body as a whole, Dr. Kehres knew chiropractic was the perfect fit for him. He graduated with his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida. 

In 2008, Dr. Kehres had the opportunity to participate in a chiropractic mission trip in the Dominican Republic that was a life-changing experience, furthering his passion to help others through natural health. 

In 2010, he opened the first Kehres Health & Chiropractic office in Saginaw, Michigan. Kehres Health & Chiropractic has since expanded to three locations in the Great Lakes Bay and a team of five doctors as well as several massage therapists and chiropractic interns. 

In 2014, he was honored to be chosen as a RUBY Award winner in the Great Lakes Bay region. 

In 2015, Dr. Kehres was named the first Doctor of Chiropractic added to the Saginaw Valley State Athletic Training Department. Read more at svsu.edu. 

Dr. Kehres is a member of the Michigan Assocation of Chiropractors and International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
