UNIVERSITY CENTER - The No. 24 nationally-ranked SVSU Softball team will enter the 2017 NCAA Division II National Tournament as the No. 3 seed in the Midwest Regional after claiming the 2017 GLIAC Tournament title over the weekend. The Cardinals will face-off against No. 6 seed University of Indianapolis in the tourney opener. The game will be on Friday, May 11 at 1:00 p.m.

The sub-regional will be hosted by No. 2 Midwest seed University of Southern Indiana, which will play No. 7 Grand Valley State in its opening round matchup.   

The winner of the double-elimination section at USI will face the winner of the other sub-regional, which is hosted by No. 1 seed University of Missouri-St. Louis. Other teams in that region are No. 4 Wayne State, No. 5 Truman State and No. 8 Kentucky Wesleyan.
