UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University senior pitcher Jade Fulton (Byron, Mich.) has been named to the 2011 Daktronics All-America Honorable Mention Team.
Fulton has extended her record to 29-9 following a sweep last weekend at the NCAA Division II Midwest Super Regional Tournament over Grand Valley State University. She has 26 complete games, five saves and has struck-out a GLIAC-record 384 batters in 254.0 innings pitched. She has surrendered only 26 walks in the 2011 season. Fulton was also named the 2011 GLIAC Softball "Pitcher of the Year" and named to the Daktronics and NFCA All-Midwest Region First Teams.
The Cardinals open play today (5/26) against Minnesota State-Mankato in their first game of the 2011 Division II Softball Championships.
