SALEM, Va. - The Saginaw Valley State University softball team is set to open play on day two of the 2011 Division II Softball Championships today (5/28).

The Cardinals (40-17) will play C.W. Post (41-15) in the opening game of "elimination Saturday" at the Moyer Sports Complex in Salem, Va.  The winner of that game will move on to face North Georgia in the third game of the afternoon to be played at 5:00 PM.

This is the first trip to the softball championships for the Cardinals, who have a 5-1 record so far in 2011 NCAA Tournament play.  Click on the link for the interactive bracket to access the webcasts and links for live stats and audio.
