UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State
University has been selected by the NCAA Softball Championship
Committee to host the 2009 Midwest Super Regional on May 15 and
16.
The Cardinals earned a birth to the Midwest Super Regional by
defeating Ferris State 1-0 in the championship game of the Midwest
Sub-Region. Saginaw Valley will host Great Lakes Valley Conference
member Indianapolis who defeated Wayne State in the other half of
the Midwest Region for the right to move on to the finals that will
be held May 21-25 in Salem, Virginia, at the James I. Moyer Sports
Complex.
Play is slated to begin on Friday afternoon and conclude Saturday
afternoon in the best two out of three format.
Game 1 - 2:00 PM (May 15)
Game 2 - 12:00 PM (May 16)
Game 3 - 2:30 PM (May 16)*
