KENOSHA, Wis. – The No. 5 Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team settled for a scoreless tie in a critical Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference road matchup on Sunday at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, Wis.
The Cardinals remain unbeaten on the season with the team's fourth straight shutout. The results moves SVSU to 8-0-2 overall and 5-0-1 in the GLIAC.
SVSU narrowly held the advantage in shots at 12-10 with Jayden Cameron leading the Cardinals with three. Elliot Nottoli and three-time reigning GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week Jonathan Monney each finished with two shots.
Nick Kay made his fourth straight start in net for SVSU and recorded his fourth shutout of the season. He made three saves against Parkside and has 360 straight minutes in the net without allowing a goal.
The Cardinals and Rangers will have a rematch at 12 pm on Friday, October 7 at SVSU.
