UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University sophomore Shea Harmeson was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) golfer of the week when the league office announced the weekly award winners.

Harmeson had a huge performance in the first tournament of the 2023-24 season as he won the B&R Investments Bulldog Classic after shooting an incredible 66 in round three to finish with a total score of 210. Harmeson was five strokes ahead of second place and climbed back from ninth place after the first round to become the medalist. Harmeson added all-tournament to his list of accomplishments on the season for his performance.

This is the first weekly award for the men's golf team this season. Harmeson will look to continue the current level of play at the Tiffin Invitational that begins on Monday, October 2.
