FINDLAY, Ohio – The Saginaw Valley State University men's golf team concluded the Doc Spragg Fall Invitational hosted by Findlay University at the Findlay Country Club on Tuesday.
The Cardinals finished in a tie with Hillsdale College and Malone University for ninth place out of 17 teams, with a three-round team score of 288+294+293=875
Ethan Swenson led Saginaw Valley with a 70+73+73=216 on the par 72, 6,747-yard course for 18th-place overall out of 92 individuals.
Teammate Michael Zanoni was tied for 48th with a 73+75+73=221 score.
Rounding out the SVSU lineup were Jiseung Choi (T-56th, 79+72+72=223), Nick Bailey (T-56th, 74+74+75=223), and Connor Jakacki (T-71st, 71+77+79=227)
Grand Valley State edged host Findlay by five strokes, 840 to 845, and Charles Delong was the medalist with a 202 for the tournament winner Lakers.
Saginaw Valley hits the links again on Sunday and Monday, Oct. 9-10, at the Wayne State University Motor City Classic on the TPC Michigan course in Dearborn, Mich.
