Cardinals post sixth place finish at Walsh Cavalier Classic

CANTON, Ohio -- The Saginaw Valley State University men's golf team competed at the Cavalier Classic hosted by Walsh University on Monday and Tuesday. The Cardinals finished sixth in the team standings with a three-round combined score of 926.

Leading SVSU was Jiseung Choi in a tie for eighth place with a 54-hole score of 222. Joey Per finished tied for 35th for SVSU with a score of 236, while Connor Jakacki was right behind in a tie for 39th with a 237. Completing the scoring for the Cardinals was Michael Zanoni in a tie for 41st with a 238. 

Also competing for SVSU was Eddie Murphy in a tie for 41st with a score of 238, while Nicklaus Bailey finished in 44th place with a score of 240. 

SVSU will next compete in the GLIAC Championships on Friday, Apr. 15 from the Gull Lake View Golf Club & Resort in Augusta, Mich.
