LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Saginaw Valley State University men's golf team closed out the season-opening SVSU Spring Invite Sunday at the Kearney Hills Golf Links in Lexington, Ky.
SVSU shot a 298 to finish in seventh place in the 21-team field, totaling a 590 through two rounds. The team title went to Grand Valley State University with a two-day score of 571.
Brendon Gouin led the Cardinals with a seventh-place finish, with a two-round score of 144 (71, 73).

SVSU will return to the Bluegrass State for a two-round event hosted by the University of Findlay. The Findlay Spring Invite will be held on March 29 and 30 at the Big Blue in Lexington, Ky.
