Damon Bozeman signs on to play with the Toowoomba Mountaineers

TOOWOOMBA, QUEENSLAND -- Former SVSU Men's Basketball standout guard Damon Bozeman has secured another professional playing opportunity, this time signing-on to play for the Toowoomba Mountaineers.

Bozeman played for a pair of teams during the 2017 season, beginning with the Bulleen Boomers and also spending time with Melbourne United of Australia's National Basketball League.

Damon had a stellar four year career for the Cardinals, which was capped-off in the 2015-16 season with the team's first ever appearance in the NCAA Division II tournament. That appearance finished with the program's first ever midwest regional championship and a trip to the Elite Eight in Frisco, Texas.

In his career, Damon scored 1,401 points in his 113 career games played. He added 495 rebounds, 146 steals and 103 assists while starting 88 games. Bozeman's 113 games played rank sith all-time in program history while his 149 three-pointers also rank sixth. His 328 career free throws put him at seventh in the all-time list and his 146 steals are 10th all-time.

Bozeman earned Second Team All-GLIAC honors in his junior 2014-15 season and capped-off his career with First Team All-GLIAC plaudits and being named to the GLIAC All-Defensive Team.
