Lachlan Anthony signs-on to play basketball at SVSU

UNIVERSITY CENTER -- SVSU Men's Basketball Head Coach Randy Baruth has announced the signing of Lachlan Anthony (Patterson Lakes, Australia / Haileybury College) to the program. The 6-6 wing will join the Cardinals for the upcoming 2017-18 season.

Anthony hails from Patterson Lakes, Australia, where he played at Haileybury College for his prep career. He is a transfer from North Iowa Area Community College. He was a member of the 2013 U18 Victorian State team that claimed gold at the Australian Junior National Championships. Lachlan also claimed gold at the Australian Junior Club Championships as a member of the U18 Waverly Falcons. He was selected to the APS All-Star Team as a junior (2013) and senior (2014). He captained Haileybury College in his senior season, averaging 20 ppg and 8 rpg. Anthony's team went on to win the McDonald's Cup state championship in his senior season. He was nominated for the Youth Player of the Year in the Big V state championship in 2014 while playing for the Melbourne Tigers. He plans on majoring in business economics at SVSU.
