UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University junior forward C.J. Turnage has been selected to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-Midwest Region Second Team, as it was officially announced on Monday afternoon.

Turnage, the First Team All-GLIAC honoree, averaged a team-best 17.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game this season. He is second on the team in assistes per game at 2.8 as well. He posted a 55.5% field goal percentage, which ranks him 10th in the GLIAC. His 17.1 ppg has him ninth in the conference. 

The Cardinals claimed the 2015-16 GLIAC regular season championship; the program's fourth in history and first since the 1984-85 campaign. SVSU plays Tuesday (Mar. 15) night in the NCAA Division II Sweet 16, as the Cards face the Ferris State University Bulldogs to see who earns the right to advance to the Elite Eight in Frisco, Texas. Tip-off time for the title game is set for 8:00 p.m. EDT at Wisconsin-Parkside.
