KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's basketball team enters the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Top 25 rankings for the first time of the 2015-16 season.

The Cardinals, after just receiving votes the past several weeks in the poll, appear in the No. 21 position in the February 2nd editiong of the rankings. SVSU has won five straight contests and hold a 17-4 overall record and 13-2 mark in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play. That 13-2 league record is currently good enough for a one game lead in the overall GLIAC standings over Findlay and two game lead in the North Division over Ferris State.

Saginaw Valley hits the road Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. matchup with Lake Superior State University before hosting Northwood University Saturday in an 8:00 p.m. matchup at O'Neill Arena.
