BAY CITY, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University junior forward C.J. Turnage has been selected as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) North Division Player of the Week for the second straight time after leading the Cardinals to big wins over Grand Valley State University and No. 25 Ferris State University. 

Turnage averaged 20.0 ppg, 8.0 rpg and three assists per game in leading the team to a 2-0 weekend, defeating both Grand Valley State and No. 25 Ferris State. He had 16 points, nine boards, four assists and three steals in the win over the Lakers before going for a game-high 24 points with seven rebounds, two assists and a block over the 25th-ranked Bulldogs. The Cardinals now hold a two-game edge in the GLIAC North Standings over Ferris State and Lake Superior State and a one-game advantage in the overall league standings over Findlay. 

Saginaw Valley continues on the road with a game Monday (Feb. 1) night at Hillsdale in an 8:00 p.m. matchup before playing at Lake Superior State Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and hosting Northwood Saturday in another 8:00 p.m. league contest.
