Men's Basketball and Saginaw Township Recreation to Hold Camp on April 13th and 14th

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's basketball program will team with Saginaw Township Recreation to hold a pair of basketball camps for local players at Center Courts on Saturday, April 13th and Sunday the 14th.

On Saturday the camp will run from 1-3:00 PM and will focus on skill development for boys and girls in grades K-4th.   This session will offer a solid foundation in skill development and motivation.  It will develop confidence, athleticism and improve individual skill.  The camp will also teach skill in footwork, defensive technique, passing and receiving and shooting instruction. 

Sundays camp will run from 1-5:00 PM and will focus on developing skills for the post and guard positions for girls and boys in 5th-9th grades.  The post portion of the camp will help develop skills in the low post with positioning, receiving and moves, post defense, rebounding, screening and using screens.  Guards will learns skills to help with attacking pressure, passing and receiving, live ball moves, fastbreak decisions, setting and using screens and individual defense.

Both sessions will include instruction from the current SVSU coaching staff.
